This is a project I did for the Special Subject 8.S30: Stellar Archeology with Prof. Anna Frebel. We analyzed the spectrum of HE1158-2313, initially observed by the Hamburg/ESO survey. Using the SHMR program, we determined this star's metallicity ([Fe/H] = -2.87) and abundances of other chemical elements. From these results we confirmed this star is very metal-poor, and we investigated the its origin. Eventually we reached the conclusion that HE1158-2313 was likely enriched with the materials ejected from both a high-energy supernova and a neutron star merger.
